Welcome to The Quaite List!

We’re just your typical Canadian family, living in Beautiful British Columbia – but we’ve got a lot of diverse interests from creating music to travelling the world, from sustainable gardening, to hobby electronics, Arduino and Raspberry Pi projects, to Goat Yoga, paddle boarding, Dragon boating, hiking, biking, and camping. We’re avid movie enthusiasts, but are just as excited about VQA wine and craft beer. We love to cook, bake, make our own fermented foods, sourdough, wine and beer, but we’re just as passionate about exploring new restaurants and bars at every opportunity. We’re artists, entertainers, entrepreneurs, with wanderlust and a lifelong passion for learning and exploring.

Over the last 25 years we’ve worked in film, education, retail, computer programming, cyber security, web hosting, we’ve owned and operated a winery, a brewery, homebrew shop, e-commerce stores, and a draft beverage system maintenance company. All the while, we’ve managed to raise an amazing son, travel though 30 different countries, and pick up some hobbies as diverse as geocaching, gold panning, frisbee golf, and cat yoga.

Since we love going new places, trying new things, and mastering new trends, our friends and family have naturally come to rely on us for help and advise on topics raging from installing Kodi on an Android box, to installing an automatic drip irrigation system. Honestly, we just love to learn, and to share what we’ve learned – and that’s why we figured it was high time we started this page, to share some of our favourite things with you.

We’re going to try to start slow, just sharing some products and systems that we believe in, but we hope to have a more robust offering of comparisons, reviews, and even instructionals and how-to’s. It really depends on the feedback we get, and the directions we get steered in. YouTube videos, Forums and Podcasts are not out of the question, we’ll see where the wind blows us!
